Local Authority Funding
The pre-school is registered to accept Early Education Entitlement Funding, including Universal and Working Parent Entitlement funding (previously known as Extended Funding), and 2 year old Local Authority (LA) funding for registered and eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
LA Parent Declaration Forms will be submitted by the preschool on your behalf. Parents / carers must review and sign their child’s form at the beginning of each term. Failure to do so will result in a delay in funding and you will be responsible for ensuring that the session fees are paid until the funding comes through.
3 & 4 Year Old Universal Funding
All children in England are entitled to up to 15 hours of childcare in the term after their third birthday. Parents do not have to take any action to qualify and the pre-school will deduct these 15 hours from any invoices generated.
2 Year Old Funding
If your child is eligible for 2 year old funding (either through Local Authority eligibility criteria or the Working Parent Entitlement), you will receive confirmation from the Local Authority or an eligibility code from HMRC confirming that they are eligible for funded childcare.
You will need to let the preschool office know that your child is eligible and provide a copy of the confirmation letter/email and the funding code you receive (where applicable).
Working Parent Entitlement – Up to 30 Hours
If your child is eligible for Working Parent Entitlement funding (up to 30 hours for eligible children aged 9 months to 4 years), you can request additional hours, but please note these are only offered if we have spaces available.
You will be responsible for renewing the code when HMRC send you reminders. If the code expires, then you will be liable for all sessions over the funded hours your child is entitled to receive.
