Activites at the Nest

At the Nest, we operate from one room and provide wraparound care for children aged between 4 and 11 years old attending the Potton Federation schools.  We provide a number of age appropriate activities for children at breakfast and after-school club:

* Homework Area

* Reading Area

* Board Games

* Electronic Tablets

* Drawing Area

* Garden Area - Football, badminton, outside seating area

Our typical routine at breakfast club is:

7.45am to 8.15am - Children attending our early breakfast club sit down for breakfast and afterwards can select one of the above activities.

8.20am to 8.40am - Children join us who are attending late breakfast club and select one of the above activities

8.40am - Children start to get ready for school

8.45am - Children leave the Nest to attend school.

Our typical routine at after-school club:

3.20pm-3.30pm - Children are collected/walk round to the Nest bulidng and wait in the garden under the canopy, with two members of staff, whilst pre-school children are dismissed.

3.30pm - Children arrive in the building, put coats/bags away and sit down

3.35pm - Staff double check registers and head count.  

3.40pm-3.50pm - Snack is served

3.50pm - Children are free to choose an activity to take part in

4.30pm - 4.45pm - Dinner is served

5.15pm - Children are free to choose an activity to take part in

6.00pm  - Nest closes
